Truck not building air, losing air or brakes won't release

A low-air warning is a symptom, not a diagnosis. Useful clues include whether the truck will not build pressure at all, builds air slowly, reaches pressure and then loses it, or has a brake that will not release. Common roadside checks can involve the compressor/governor circuit, air dryer, lines and fittings, gladhands, quick-release and relay valves, spring-brake valves, airbags/leveling valves and 30/30 brake chambers. Tell dispatch what both air gauges are doing, whether the leak can be heard safely, and whether the problem is on the tractor or trailer.

For related service coverage, see Jupiter emergency roadside repair.

DEF/DPF derate, forced regen and diesel no-start

A no-crank, slow-crank, crank-but-no-start and an emissions derate are different problems. Battery state, cables, starter circuit and charging output matter on a no-crank. A normal-cranking no-start can involve fuel supply, sensors, wiring or engine-management faults. DEF/DPF warnings can involve soot loading, temperature/pressure sensors, dosing faults or conditions that prevent a regeneration. A forced regen is performed only when diagnosis and vehicle conditions make it appropriate; clearing a code without finding the cause is not the repair.

Hot hub, wheel-seal leak, bearing noise and wheel-end problems

A tire call can also be a wheel-end call. Report oil or grease around the hub, a wheel that is unusually hot, smoke, grinding, looseness, bearing noise, damaged drums or a wheel that will not rotate normally. Mobile wheel-end work can include seals, bearings, hubs and drums when the repair can be performed safely at the location. A suspected loose wheel or severe wheel-end failure should be treated as a safety problem, not driven farther just to reach a repair location.

Trailer ABS, 7-way wiring, lights, landing gear, liftgate and roll-up door

Commercial trailer downtime is often electrical, pneumatic or access-related rather than an engine problem. We diagnose trailer ABS warnings, 7-way power and wiring faults, stop/turn/marker lights, air lines and gladhands, brake chambers, landing gear, wheel ends, liftgates and roll-up doors. Trailer types can include dry vans and commercial trailers as well as dump, landscape, utility, enclosed, car-hauler, boat/jet-ski and horse/equestrian tow-behind trailers when the repair fits our mobile scope.

See the dedicated mobile trailer repair Jupiter page for trailer-specific breakdowns.

Commercial truck tire blowouts: steer, drive and trailer positions

For a tire dispatch, the complete sidewall size and tire position matter more than wheel diameter alone. Core commercial wheel-size categories include 15, 16, 17.5, 19.5, 22.5 and 24.5. Verified examples include 295/75R22.5 and 11R22.5. Regular 15/16/17.5/19.5 commercial inventory is new only unless later confirmed otherwise. Qualifying 22.5/24.5 applications may have new, used or recap availability depending on exact size, position, application and current inventory. Most other commercial sizes can be sourced on request.

Check commercial truck tire repair Jupiter for tire-specific service and inventory wording.

Jupiter, Indiantown Road, I-95 and Turnpike (State Road 91) commercial corridors

The Jupiter target is intentionally local. Roadside calls may come from Indiantown Road, I-95, Florida’s Turnpike (State Road 91), US-1/Federal Highway, Donald Ross Road, PGA Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens, Tequesta, Juno Beach, commercial yards, distribution areas, loading docks and job sites. Location language is used to help drivers describe where the disabled unit is; it does not imply an affiliation with any nearby business.

What information speeds commercial roadside dispatch

  • Exact map pin, address, highway direction, exit or mile marker, yard/dock gate and safe access point.

  • Truck, tractor, box truck, dump truck or trailer type plus unit number when available.

  • For tires: full sidewall size, steer/drive/trailer position and photos when safe.

  • For air/brakes: gauge behavior, audible leak location, low-air warning, brake that will not release and tractor-versus-trailer location.

  • For diesel/electrical: no-crank versus crank-no-start, dash warnings, fault codes, jump-start history, DEF/DPF/regen messages and overheating history.

  • For trailers: failed light/circuit, ABS warning, 7-way connector condition, landing gear, liftgate, roll-up door or wheel-end symptoms.

Use the full commercial breakdown dispatch checklist before calling when time and safety allow.

Fleet-yard, PM/PMI and DOT support

Fleet managers need repeatable service beyond one breakdown. Mobile Truck supports commercial fleet-yard work, preventive maintenance/PMI, DOT annual inspection support and correction of supported tire, brake, air, lighting, electrical, wheel-end and trailer defects. Service scope is confirmed before dispatch so a mobile call is not sold for work that requires a different facility or equipment.

Jupiter roadside repair FAQ

Can you repair a truck that is not building air?

Yes, when the fault can be safely diagnosed and repaired on-site. Report whether pressure will not build, builds slowly or drops after building, plus any audible leak and whether the brakes will release.

Do you handle DEF/DPF derates and forced regen?

Yes, diagnosis of DEF/DPF/aftertreatment faults and forced regen when appropriate are within the commercial mobile scope. A regen is not automatically the correct repair for every warning or derate.

Do you service trailer ABS and 7-way electrical problems?

Yes. Trailer ABS warnings, 7-way wiring/power, lighting, gladhands, air lines and related electrical or air-system faults are part of the trailer roadside scope.

What commercial tire sizes do you service?

Core wheel-size categories include 15, 16, 17.5, 19.5, 22.5 and 24.5, with most other commercial sizes sourced on request subject to application and availability. Always provide the complete tire size and position before dispatch.

What types of roadside calls do you handle?

Mobile Truck Trailer Tire Roadside Repair handles qualifying commercial truck, trailer, tire, air-brake, wheel-end, electrical and diesel roadside repairs at the vehicle, yard, dock, job site or roadside location when conditions and repair scope allow.
