A leaking wheel seal is not only an oil leak. Once lubricant leaves the hub, bearings can run hot, brake components can become contaminated and a small wheel-end problem can become a much larger roadside failure.

Signs of a wheel-end problem

Common warning signs include oil on the inside of the wheel, oil around the hub cap, abnormal wheel-end heat, looseness, noise, contaminated brake shoes or repeated seal leakage. A proper inspection should check the seal, bearings, hub, spindle condition and related brake components.

Why replacing only the seal may not be enough

A new seal can fail again if a damaged bearing, worn hub surface, excessive end play, installation problem or other wheel-end condition is left in place. The repair should address the cause of the leak, not only the visible symptom.

Truck and trailer wheel-end roadside service

Mobile service includes commercial truck and trailer wheel seals, bearings, hubs and related wheel-end repair when the repair can be performed safely on site. Brake condition should also be checked when lubricant has reached the drum or friction material.

Coverage across the Boca Raton–Fort Pierce service area commercial corridors

Roadside wheel-end service is available throughout Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties, including the I-95 and Florida’s Turnpike (State Road 91) corridors and the major commercial areas around West Palm Beach, Jupiter, Stuart, Port St. Lucie and Fort Pierce.
