Commercial Truck Tire Roadside Service in West Palm Beach: What to Tell Dispatch Before a Blowout Call

A commercial tire blowout call goes more smoothly when the driver can provide more than “I need a truck tire.” The most useful information is the complete tire size, the tire position, the vehicle or trailer type, the exact location and any visible secondary damage. Mobile Truck Trailer Tire Roadside Repair serves commercial trucks and trailers from the West Palm/Shawnee location and does not provide towing.

Start with the complete sidewall size

Read the entire size from the tire sidewall before calling when it is safe to do so. The wheel diameter alone is not enough. Verified examples we may reference include 295/75R22.5 and 11R22.5, but the actual sidewall marking on the failed tire should be confirmed before dispatch.

Identify steer, drive or trailer position

Tire position matters because the correct replacement depends on the vehicle, axle and application. Tell dispatch whether the failure is on a steer axle, drive axle or trailer position and whether a second tire in a dual assembly appears damaged.

Commercial tire inventory rules

New commercial tire service includes 15-inch, 16-inch, 17.5-inch, 19.5-inch, 22.5-inch and 24.5-inch applications. Used and recap tires may be available only for qualifying 22.5-inch and 24.5-inch commercial applications, subject to exact size, application and current inventory. Those rules are separate from passenger vehicles.

Look for damage beyond the tire

A blowout can strike wiring, air lines, mud-flap hardware, brake components and nearby wheel-end parts. Tell dispatch if you see a damaged wheel, loose tread wrapped around the axle, fluid around the hub, a new air leak or an ABS/electrical warning after the failure.
