295/75R22.5 and 11R22.5 are verified commercial tire-size examples frequently used in roadside searches. Reporting the full size helps dispatch identify the request, but the tire position and application still have to be confirmed.

Steer, drive or trailer

Dispatch should know whether the failed tire is on a steer axle, drive axle or trailer. A matching sidewall size does not by itself prove that every tire construction or specification is appropriate for every position.

New, used and recap availability

Because both examples are 22.5-inch commercial sizes, new tires are available and used or recap options may also be available, subject to the exact application, position and current inventory. Used 295/75R22.5 and used 11R22.5 commercial tires may be stocked, but availability should be confirmed at the time of service.

What to report before a roadside call

Provide the complete sidewall size, tire position, truck or trailer type, breakdown location and any visible rim, hub, wheel-seal, brake or suspension damage.
