17.5 and 19.5 Commercial Tire Roadside Service in West Palm Beach: New-Only Inventory Guide

Commercial tire searches often focus on 22.5-inch applications, but many delivery trucks, medium-duty vehicles and specialty commercial units use other wheel-size categories. Mobile Truck Trailer Tire Roadside Repair services commercial roadside tire needs from the West Palm Beach/Shawnee area, including new 17.5- and 19.5-inch applications.

17.5 and 19.5 are wheel-size categories, not complete tire sizes

A driver should not request a tire using only "17.5" or "19.5." The full sidewall marking is needed to identify the correct commercial tire. Load requirements, tire position and vehicle application also matter.

These categories are new tires only

For commercial 17.5- and 19.5-inch applications, the approved inventory rule is new tires only. The same new-only rule applies to commercial 15- and 16-inch applications.

Used or recap commercial tires may be available only in qualifying 22.5- and 24.5-inch applications, subject to exact size, application and inventory. This distinction is important when calling for service.

Tell dispatch the position and vehicle type

Report whether the tire is on the steer, drive or trailer position and identify the truck or trailer type. A box truck, delivery truck, commercial trailer and other medium-duty applications can require different tires even when they share the same wheel-diameter category.

Use the tire-size hub before assuming availability

Our commercial truck tire-size hub explains the wheel-size categories, verified exact-size examples and new-versus-used/recap rules.
